I’m Rachael Newman-Sanders and as you may have guessed from my blog name, I am mum to four children – including a pre-schooler and a teenager.
I spend a lot of my time working as a cook, cleaner, taxi driver, nurse, teacher and bank manager. However, when I’m not running around after little people or trying to work out the best ways to do this parenting thing, what I really like to do is write.
Sometimes it’s serious stuff – it has to be as I’m also a freelance writer. But often it’s just a lighthearted, fun look at everyday life with a family. Something as boring as forgetting to buy some milk, trying to sort out emergency childcare, or checking what’s in my kids’ bookbags after school can get me tapping away on the keyboard….
Other things that make me tick:
- Fresh flowers
- Afternoon tea
- Reading a really good book to one of the children
- A green lawn (except with three of my children being boys we’ll never have one ourselves)
Things I struggle with:
- Remembering names
- Telling jokes
- Successfully sorting socks
I hope you enjoy the read!
