I am a freelance writer, specialising in topics such as parenting, family and school life, and education. I have written and edited magazines for Hertfordshire charity Aspergers4Herts, and produced a wide variety of features for charity Care for the Family‘s magazine ‘Family’. I have written parenting articles for magazines such as Junior, contributed to TheSchoolRun website, blogged for parenting website Parentdish and carried out book reviews for charities such as the NCT. In addition, I have written corporate literature for healthcare and food companies.

Before having a family I was a newspaper reporter on The Bath Chronicle and The Oxford Mail/Times. As well as working on the normal crime, council and court copy, I specialised in education and wrote education supplements and guides for parents of school-age children and university freshers. I also spent a couple of years at a London PR agency, working in media relations.

I can work to very tight deadlines, will always deliver on time, and pride myself on producing clean and accurate copy.
